Official end of year figures released by Tenerife Tourism Corporation show that 2011 was a record year for tourists to the island, with the UK showing an increase of 10.6% compared to 2010. An incredible 1,658,315 holidaymakers visited from the UK, representing the highest annual figure since 2008.
