First Tenerife Golf application for Apple and Android

From this week, golfers holidaying in Tenerife have a new tool that will allow them to enjoy their favourite sport even more. The Council of Tenerife, through the Tenerife TourismCorporation and its Tenerife Golf brand, has just launched the application Golf in Tenerife – Tenerife Golf Guide, the most comprehensive guide to golf courses and hotel partners on the island, available for Apple and Android devices so far.

74 establishments in Macau celebrated in The Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2014

74 establishments in Macau, including 18 hotels and 56 restaurants, have been selected for inclusion in The MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2014. The inclusion of ten new restaurants and two new hotels in Macau – an increase of 23 establishments on the previous year –demonstrates Macau’s amazingly diverse food scene and reinforces its reputation as one of Asia’s great food destinations.

New online video marketing campaign shows Tenerife at its best

The Tenerife Tourism Corporation has launched an innovative online video marketing campaign to promote its new vision for the destination which focuses on nature and authentic experiences, dividing the island into Five Volcanic Territories. The campaign aims to engage with visitors through social media and other online channels by showing stunning video content about the destination. This latest initiative, carried out in association with the Canary Islands Tourist Board, is part of a wider joint marketing campaign with British Airways.

EVA ranked among world’s five safest airlines

Taiwan-based EVA Air has been ranked fifth among the world’s top 10 safest airlines by Germany’s AERO International Magazine. The publication’s assessments for 2013 were released in its February 2014 edition on January 17. In the 10 years that EVA has been counted among the world’s 10 safest airlines, it has climbed in ranking. With its safety programmes, consistently superb record and high standards, EVA has a solid standing among leading international airlines and is listed just behind Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair and Emirates.

EVA to increase North America frequency 22 per cent

EVA Air is continuing to expand following its membership of the international Star Alliance. It announces today it will increase its North American services from 45 flights a week to 55, boosting frequency to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (MOTCE) for the Republic of Indonesia has launched a brand new tourism website dedicated to the UK market. The new site, www.tourism-indonesia.co.uk, is Indonesia’s first official destination site in the UK and reflects MOTCE’s commitment to its largest European source market and the potential it sees for growth from the UK to Indonesia with its many attractive destinations.

Tenerife packs 2014 with plenty of fiestas
