Macao to Welcome Global Music Talent for 30th International Music Festival

Macao is getting ready to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors to the pearl jubilee of the Macao International Music Festival, taking place from the 1st to 30th October 2016. Internationally renowned musicians – from the Berlin Philharmonic String Quintet to the world famous Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra and the China Philharmonic Orchestra – will perform a diverse programme including classical, opera, jazz, fado and even film scores. Several of Macao’s World Heritage sites – including the Dom Pedro V Theatre and St. Dominic’s Church – will serve as inspiring settings for some of the performances.

Eva Air Adds More Connections to Central And South America Through Avianca Code-Share

EVA Air, Taiwan’s leading independent airline and the newest addition to SKYTRAX’s elite group of 5-Star carriers, has announced the initiation of a code-share agreement with fellow Star Alliance member, Avianca, making travel between Asia and Central America much more convenient for both the airlines’ passengers. Effective as of 17 August, the new code-share agreement will enable EVA Air’s passengers to connect through Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco to connect with Avianca flights to San Salvador, whilst Avianca’s passengers will be able to connect through the same US airports for flights to Taipei.
